Great food great service

SAD, WHAT HAPPENED???? FRIES WERE COLD AND STALE, COLD BURRITO AND DIDN'T EVEN WAIT 5 MINUTES. THE TACOS WERE ALREADY COOKED ON SOME TYPE OF PLATE THEY LOOKED BURNT, AND COLD!!!! PARKED OUT IN THE FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT, CALLED IN MY ORDER, CALI BURRITO AND SOME TACOS, WAIT ABOUT TEN MINUTES AND I NOTICE PEOPLE WALK IN MASK HALF WAY ON, (SHRUG). ANYWAY, THESE PEOPLE WALKED IN AFTER I PLACED MY ORDER, SO I HAD ALREADY PLACED MY ORDER, AGAIN I WAITED TEN MINUTES, I WALK UP I PAY AND I START NOTICING THE OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE GETTING THEIR LARGER ORDERS BEFORE MY SMALL ORDER. SO WHEN I GET MY ORDER, I WAS THINKING IT WAS GOING TO BE PIPING HOT, UH NO, I GOT IN MY CAR UNWRAPPED BURRITO, TOOK ONE BITE, THEN ANOTHER AND FRIES WERE ALL COLD AND CHEWY, C'MON!!!! SAD THIS PLACE IS OVERRATED! NO GOOD AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD IN ALPINE, MAYBE LOS PANCHO'S, MAYBE.... OVERATED TAPATIOS, AND I TIPPED $5 TO HELP BUSINESS, BUT NEVER AGAIN NEVER.

Never disappoints!!!! HANDS DOWN BEST SALSA! I personally get the "chunky red".

Ordered Sherred beef tacos , was just mostly all lettuce, where!s the beef .

They will make it like the way you ask for it.Taste delicious 😋

Cali Burrito was the best!

Come here almost every week. Excellent staff, great food, and quick service make this place the best for burritos in Alpine. When it gets busy, it will on Friday/Saturday nights, enjoy the chip and salsa bar- well worth any wait.

Hands down the best California burrito I’ve ever had and for an amazing price! The quality and portion size is incredible. This place is amazing! I wish I had taken a picture of my food but I didn’t think to until it was half gone...The customer service was great, and it was in a very easy to find and get to location!

Great fish tacos. Service was fast and big patio area to eat it. Worked out great for our large family.

The chips are pretty good, their dip (salsa) is awesome. The best I've had. I usually get a breakfast burrito, fish taco plate or a chicken fajita plate. Free chips while you wait. I've been going to this place for over 8yrs now, great food. Pricing is decent and you get a good amount as well. I definitely recommend.

One of the best California Burritos in San Diego!

Yum! The food, especially the carnitas, is excellent. I had the carnitas torta, others in the group had the beef tamales, chicken and carnitas tacos and a California burrito. Everything was great and the staff was very friendly and nice. They also gave us ordering suggestions that were spot on.

This is the gem hidden in the center of alpine. The food, regardless of what you pick is outstanding and priced fair enough to make it a perfect choice when I'm down the hill. The small family owned environment makes for the down home feel I prefer.

All three of us loved the food we ordered after our hike. It absolutely hit the spot.

The food is always fantastic. One of the best California burritos in our opinion.

Top-notch and in a prime location being within 500ft of Alpine Brewing that does not serve food. At Tapatio's, you'll eat like royalty and be stuffed for the remainder of the day/night. The burritos are big, and there are plenty of deals and steals on the menu. Very friendly service.

Personally I order Carne Asada Fries with Extra Everything including extra fries! Use to get it in a tin pan to go but now it's almost 20$ in a foam carry out container..... but yes I am coming back!! The staff the service and atmosphere is always awesome never any negativity no order mess ups. There pollo is absolutely amazing so juicy and flavorful and best part NOT SALTY!! The carne asada is the same tender juicy full of flavor without the salt over load. The sauces are amazing! The green and the red hot one are my favorite! Everything even the updated outside seating just awesome. Plus the prices are the best!

My favorite taco shop of all time and I probably eat at taco shops about twice a month. I am a vegetarian and always get a bean and cheese with guac here and it is the BEST I have tried anywhere. Good service and good food. I moved far away from this place but I plan to make some trips out there just for the food since nothing compares to Tapatio's.

Food was amazing, very large portion, spices were on point. Oh and that homemade salsa and chips. So yummy!

Surely a place worth trying, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the prices are convenient and it is constantly clean there. Kudos.

Best family place I've ever been to cheap two very good Mexican food homemade and I'll find you you get a fish taco in spin on a 250 but they're big don't go to Rubio's anymore I know Rubio myself and he sold the business so you know what go to this place instead it's really really good they have fish tacos and get a whole plate a food for $7 fresh it's been in business for at least 25 years I guess or 15 spot it all out all fine Hotel but any anyway check it out this is a local place from Alpine go to El Panchos that's the best Mexican food can ever have but it's very expensive so we just go here we got shrimp cocktail over there so anyway enjoy come by and visit them they'll always be there the local place at City people go back to San Diego the wrecking Alpine

This small restaurant doesn’t have any social distancing rules and everyone can go in without a protective mask.If you care about your health because of the virus that is going around I don’t recommend to buy anything from this place

Carne Asada fries are good but I hate when they add beans without telling you. Beans do not belong in carne Asada fries

Excellent it was my favorite Taco Shop when I lived in Alpine 10 years ago and it's still my favorite taco shop every time I drive through.
